rea1412 Posted July 9, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 9, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone! I would like to know if anyone here has a Hadley Small bag and a MacBook Air 11.6"?!? Does the MBA actually fits inside the Hadley Small (with a Leica M9 & 1 extra lens) or it's just too tight? (I have tried to search this subject in this forum... but couldn't find any. I hope someone can help to clear my doubt. Thank you! Best regards,

Philip Freedman Posted July 9, 2011 Share #3 Posted July 9, 2011 It just fits in the Hadley Pro, which is the version of the bag with the handle on top, but I have to squeeze it between the back of the camera enclosure and the back of the bag where there is almost no padding. rea1412 Posted July 9, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted July 9, 2011 Hi Philip!... if that's the case, it means MBA 11 won't fit inside a Hadley Small....or... maybe it would fit, if I took out the insert. What do you think?!? Anyway, Thank you for your information . Best regards,
Philip Freedman Posted July 9, 2011 Share #5 Posted July 9, 2011 Aura It is quite a tight fit in the Hadley Pro ! Philip
rea1412 Posted July 9, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted July 9, 2011 So let alone in a Hadley Small... . Ok, got it. Thanks (again) for clearing my doubt, Philip. Cheers....
mmradman Posted July 9, 2011 Share #7 Posted July 9, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Macbook 13'' is bigger than Hadley Small (just did the test by putting bag on top of the mac) so I would imagine 11'' machine wouldn't fit inside together with camera inserts. On the other hand iPad sounds as promising proposition or bigger bag.
elgenper Posted July 10, 2011 Share #8 Posted July 10, 2011 .... Does the MBA actually fits inside the Hadley Small... For some reason, most of the answers seem to relate to other Mac´s than the MBA; let´s try to answer the OP´s question exactly as stated... I own a Hadley Small; also I got an iPad a couple of weeks ago as a promotional gift. The iPad just fits in the Hadley Small between the padded insert and the back of the bag. It´s almost an exact fit, both the length and the width of the iPad are just small enough to allow it to go into the bag. I happened to look up the MacBookAir 11¨ specs the other day, just to see how much bigger this far more competent machine would be than the iPad, and found it was 6 cm longer (30 cm instead of 24 cm; the other dimensions were almost the same. Also, it´s 400g heavier.). These extra 6 cm would make the MBA 11¨ absolutely impossible to carry in the Hadley Small: it´s longer than the entire bag. Jeff S Posted July 10, 2011 Share #9 Posted July 10, 2011 These extra 6 cm would make the MBA 11¨ absolutely impossible to carry in the Hadley Small: it´s longer than the entire bag. One needs to be careful with absolutes, as bags are typically measured without the innards stretched out. It would be like measuring your waist before you drank those 15 beers. i don't own a Hadley, but my bag holds things that measurements suggest it never should. Depends on materials and 'stretch'. You may be correct, but only way to know for sure is to try. Jeff
-ph- Posted July 11, 2011 Share #10 Posted July 11, 2011 I also use the Hadley Small with my M9 and my iPad. The iPad fits very tight between the inset and the bag, almost as if the bag was made for it. Actually if the bag would be 1 cm taller it would be absolutely perftect. But not for anything larger (assuming you still want to use the inset and put a camera into it...) Peter
rea1412 Posted July 11, 2011 Author Share #11 Posted July 11, 2011 Hi Per, Jeff & Peter! Thank you very much for your responses. My Hadley small bag should arrive in the next couple of days. I will only know then, when I'll try it for myself, how this bag actually fits my M9 with an extra lens...my purse, sunglasses, mobile phone, house key.... and (maybe) an Ipad... -ph- Posted July 11, 2011 Share #12 Posted July 11, 2011 Hi Aurea, I hope you will enjoy your Hadley, I *love* mine. It currently holds my iPad, an M9 with 90,50,40,28 mm lenses, a Blackberry, an iPod (nano), pocket knife, flashlight, spare battery... admittedly it is getting full in there... (and recently, while I was carrying the M9 with lens around my neck, I even got a sweater in it, but that was really pushing it ) Peter
rea1412 Posted July 12, 2011 Author Share #13 Posted July 12, 2011 Being a small bag... The Hadley seems to be able to fit more than I thought... unfortunately (from other people's experince) it's still a tad too small to fit a MacBook Air 11". Oh well... anyway, thanks again for your insight, Peter! Much appreciated! Best regards,
