AMR Posted July 7, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, I am new to Leica and recently i bought my M9 with Summilux 50 Asph . . In the SET, i have chosen DNG. I shot yesterday a party, and when i played the photos in laptop, all shown in small dimensions as it seems it needs special soft ware to open them fully. Now i know that Lightroom will do the job, but i recently lost my laptop and will buy new one soon, and i don't want to buy lightroom for the current laptop i use as it's not mine . . Is there any free software that will convert DNG files to Jpeg? I don't want cracked software too. Thanks.

jaapv Posted July 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 7, 2011 Try Picasa or Gimp But if you had LR on your old laptop you can temporarily migrate to your current one - go to the Adobe website and manage your licenses.
stunsworth Posted July 7, 2011 Share #3 Posted July 7, 2011 How soon are you going to buy a new laptop? There's a free 30 day trial of Lightroom available from Adobe.

jaapv Posted July 7, 2011 Share #6 Posted July 7, 2011 That happens in some circumstances. You can usually just rename them .DNG. But wait - you sound like you need to buy the Lightroom book by Scott Kelby and endure his atrocious jokes.
