To assure that you’ll be getting the most effective instruction possible, each workshop is limited to a 15 people, and will be taught on a professional or high-end notebook. Topic covered will include: . Camera orientation . Configuring your computer . Understanding the digital process from capture to output . Introduction to exposure-measuring techniques . stunsworth Posted February 8, 2007 Share #8 Posted February 8, 2007 Eric, there have been similar ones concerning the film M series - certainly in the UK. I attended one a couple of years ago organised by Wilkinsons at Preston. To be honest the major benifit of that event was being able to have a play with all the lenses. Jager Posted February 10, 2007 Share #17 Posted February 10, 2007 Is is just me, or does this class seem pretty basic? I'm guessing the typical M8 buyer already has a pretty fair background in both computers and digital imaging. I wouldn't mind traveling to NY to catch one of the sessions there, but aren't really seeing much meat to these. I'd like to be wrong... Jeff
Guest guy_mancuso Posted February 10, 2007 Share #18 Posted February 10, 2007 Even if it is pretty basic , it really maybe worth it to see how to improve your workflow and color management and such so for 280 dollars it really may be very beneficial for the money spent. I may go just to sit in and hear what is going on. There in my town so I may jut do it. Never know what little tip can save hours of time
marknorton Posted February 10, 2007 Share #19 Posted February 10, 2007 Yes but Guy, you'll be teaching them, not the other way round...

Never know what little tip can save hours of time Guy - I bet you're now kicking yourself that you didn't attend more of the color management event when that circus was in town ... But any basic Leica seminar, my feeling is you could run it - in fact they wouldn't even need to bring in the complete lens collection Edmund
