Advertisement Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Hi allamande, Take a look here I was tempted to follow him. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
k-hawinkler Posted July 4, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted July 4, 2011 Ece, Â That would have been tough going. A wonderful image. That rabbit has a nice hiding place. I love the colors. Â Thanks, K-H.
pauledell Posted July 4, 2011 Share #3 Â Posted July 4, 2011 Ece, Â A fine shot with the framing, colors and sharpness. Not a good idea following him in the brush. I imagine the wood ticks are thriving yet. Â Paul
euston Posted July 4, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted July 4, 2011 You should have done. Ece's adventures in wonderland might have been fun. Â The vegetation looks very dry. Is that usual where you are?

allamande Posted July 6, 2011 Author Share #6 Â Posted July 6, 2011 K.-H., Paul, Robert, and Stuart, Â Thank you for your thoughts on this little fella, and my moment with him. I appreciate the feedback very much. It was as the sun was setting and you could hear all the cicadas singing their tunes, and he seemed to be soaking it all in, having a wonderful time. It was tempting, as I said... Â Robert, this is typical for this time of year. We are about 6 miles from the ocean and the climate along this stretch is Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers. All the hills are brown by now; even the thistle is on the way out. Â Ece

allamande Posted July 10, 2011 Author Share #8 Â Posted July 10, 2011 Paulo, Â Thank you! The purple is thistle and I absolutely love them. Over the years they've spread over the large undeveloped land we have behind our housing area (left over from the Irvine Ranch days), and by now we get a field of thistle every year. Amazing color and texture, they attract bees like honey. Â Ece
