MachineGun Posted July 3, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 3, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi I am thinking on bidding on a Leica Elmarit 90mm 2.8 chrome lens on E Bay.( the serial number puts it year at 1981) The seller claims that the glass is clear of haze and fungus, yet he says he will not accept any returns. Should I be alarmed? Thanks MachineGun
Advertisement Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Hi MachineGun, Take a look here Leica Elmarit 90mm chrome. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ivar B Posted July 4, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 4, 2011 No reason for alarm if the sellers feedback is good in general. There can be many reasons for not accepting returns, and if the lens should indeed be in a different condition from the one described, eBay offers you as a buyer good protection. akiralx Posted July 4, 2011 Share #3 Posted July 4, 2011 Quite a heavy lens, I had one. Check to see if you're OK with that before bidding!
luigi bertolotti Posted July 5, 2011 Share #4 Posted July 5, 2011 Quite a heavy lens, I had one. Check to see if you're OK with that before bidding! "Heavy" ?? If it's from 1981, it must be, indeed, a TELE Elmarit - M (2nd version, black), to say, the lightest 90 f 2,8 ever made... the "heavy" one is the last Elmarit - M. great lens (I have one), which entered in 1990. "Machine Gun"... check precisely the lens you are referring to... a 90mm dated 1981 cannot be chrome.
