davidrc Posted July 2, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone had a M8 or .2 shutter replaced or a sensor replaced and incurred a charge and if so what was the cost ? These are probably the two most most expensive items to replace. I'd like to factor the risk against some of the s/h bodies available without warranty. LeicaMSeattle Posted July 3, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 3, 2011 Earlier this year I had the sensor replaced for the second time, fortunately the technician who evaluated the camera and the sensor deemed it to be defective again so essentially I had to pay the price of the Vulcanite cover, that I had installed when I had my M8 shutter upgrade where they replaced the first defective sensor. The cost of the vulcanite was $375.00 US
