bocaburger Posted June 27, 2011 Share #21 Posted June 27, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Whatever, no one can deny that Nikon have provided the tools that enabled thousands of pro photographers to make good careers for themselves, and that's down to more than just a few freebies in the 60's. Absolutely! Nikon deserves the credit for putting together an enormous system, rugged gear, and (for the most part) excellent optics. But Ehrenreich should get credit for his marketing genius. He also pioneered "Pro Service" with loaners, rentals, and red-carpet service after the sale. But again, had the product been crap it never would have caught on like it did, regardless of how it was marketed.
Advertisement Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Hi bocaburger, Take a look here Leicaflex vs. Nikkormat. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
martinvath Posted June 29, 2011 Author Share #22 Posted June 29, 2011 Thank´s for Your answers. I think I´ll stick with my old Nikkormat for the time being:-) Best regards Martin
Guest dinkgräve Posted June 29, 2011 Share #23 Posted June 29, 2011 Regarding the quality of lenses just get yourself a 'cron and replace the Leica mount with the readily available Leitax mount. Cheap upgrade to a much better lens at least. However, the real experience in a Leicaflex is the finder. Second to none. So you'd probably buy one anyway, once you had a look. jacarape Posted July 4, 2011 Share #24 Posted July 4, 2011 Goodie for you. I maintain a Nikkormat FS (no meter) for experimental long and short work. I'm glad you are happy with your Nikon camera and suggest you move on to a forum who really gives a damn. Why would anyone ever speak like that to someone they never met? 250swb Posted July 5, 2011 Share #25 Posted July 5, 2011 Why would anyone ever speak like that to someone they never met? In real life perhaps a masochistic desire to have the s***t kicked out of them? But on the internet its instead of kicking the dog or beating the wife, just have a go at somebody else that you will never meet. Steve
