Advertisement Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Hi hhanebeck, Take a look here Silver Noctilux. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted June 20, 2011 Share #22 Posted June 20, 2011 Let's hope it's not a "real" all brass chrome version. Talk about a brick around your neck! . Bob. On the contrary... I HOPE it's a real chrome-on-brass ! - I anyway won't buy it - If someone likes to spend the cost for such a special, he deserves "onori e oneri" ("honors and burdens"... in Italian sounds better.. ) - To be balanced by the feeling that it is a REAL classic chrome... Delfi_r Posted June 20, 2011 Share #24 Posted June 20, 2011 Two weeks ago tehre was a meeting of Leica lovers, and over a table there where a 90 cron ASPH, a 75 cron ASPH a 50 Lux ASPH, a 35 Cron ASPH and a 28 Cron ASPH all in silver finish that the owner loved to collect. I don't know if he will go for this silver Nocti, but I'm sure that he will think of it.

Delfi_r Posted June 20, 2011 Share #26 Posted June 20, 2011 http://www.e-espai.org/gallery2/d/5511-1/madrid_001.jpg If I am not wrong, the lens of the left it's a 75 cron ASPH, but perhaps I'm confused. Soon I'll have photos of all stuff.

Any chance you can just post the image here? Cheers, Chris
Delfi_r Posted June 21, 2011 Share #28 Posted June 21, 2011 I'll correct this. In this moment I'm sure that is the 75 summicron ASPH, and I don't have any other image, but next time we meet we'll be in another place mos suited to the task (it was a cafeteria's table on the street) http://www.e-espai.org/gallery2/d/5515-2/P1000568+-+Version+2.jpg
wattsy Posted June 21, 2011 Share #29 Posted June 21, 2011 The lens on the left (in Delfi's shot) looks like a silver 50 F1.4 ASPH to me.
bill Posted June 21, 2011 Share #30 Posted June 21, 2011 Maybe Leica Camera AG should start a co-operation with Rolex? Why should they lower their standards? Regards, Bill
Delfi_r Posted June 21, 2011 Share #31 Posted June 21, 2011 The lens on the left (in Delfi's shot) looks like a silver 50 F1.4 ASPH to me. Perhaps, I'm not sure. I'll ask again to the owner of the silver lenses collection.
luigi bertolotti Posted June 21, 2011 Share #32 Posted June 21, 2011 The lens on the left (in Delfi's shot) looks like a silver 50 F1.4 ASPH to me. It IS a Lux 50 Asph... 75 has a (no much) higher focusing ring
Delfi_r Posted June 21, 2011 Share #33 Posted June 21, 2011 I'm wrong for the image, but I'm waiting the answer from the collector of silver lenses for his assesment of the 75 cron.
hhanebeck Posted June 22, 2011 Author Share #34 Posted June 22, 2011 It IS a Lux 50 Asph... 75 has a (no much) higher focusing ring Agree. This is definitely the 50 Lux. The 75 Cron is a little wider and also a little longer. Cheers, Chris

leicanut2 Posted June 25, 2011 Share #36 Posted June 25, 2011 Silver Noctilux to bad I can't afford the black one let alone the limited edition silver one. A real nice looking lens. Jan
justin552 Posted June 27, 2011 Share #37 Posted June 27, 2011 Thanks for the link, erlingmm! Westlicht hosted the 20 Year Leica Store Anniversary in Vienna so this makes perfect sense. It seems the company has manufactured 50 silver Noct for these three limited editions. You are right, the lens is the limited edition ... brilliant idea from a product management perspective. It is an incredibly beautiful lens! Cheers, Chris Looks like am going to have to settle with buying the black one
otto.f Posted June 27, 2011 Share #38 Posted June 27, 2011 More generally speaking I like Ostlicht or Nordlicht better than Westlicht
