jaapv Posted June 18, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I use my ipad quite a bit. It is fast enough with airport to use my regular forum settings. But the little blue arrows that link to the last post in a thread are so small that I always hit one of the links next to them unless I zoom quite far. Maybe they could be made larger? Advertisement Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Hi jaapv, Take a look here Little blue arrows. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pop Posted June 18, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 18, 2011 I felt exactly the same. I then started magnifying the image just before tapping on the arrow. It became an automatic action within a very short time: "unpinch", tap, pinch. That's one of the advantages of the multifingered user interface: zooming and panning becomes very fast and - more importantly - very intuitive. jaapv Posted June 18, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted June 18, 2011 That is what I meant with zoom. Disadvantage is that you lose the thread titles that way, so if you are distracted, you lose track of which arrow to hit.
andybarton Posted June 18, 2011 Share #4 Posted June 18, 2011 Which blue arrows?
jaapv Posted June 18, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted June 18, 2011 Well, actually the arrow is white and the little square surrounding it is blue. The ones one uses to go to the last post in a thread. You wouldn't see them if you use an app to view the forum on your i-Phone, but the standard forum interface has them, and that is what I use on my i-Pad. pop Posted June 19, 2011 Share #6 Posted June 19, 2011 That would be this one, I believe: . Zooming the image from the arrow outwards (such that the arrow remains in its place on the screen and between my fingers) tapping the right one presents no problem for me. It's sorting out which threads I've read and which ones I am yet to read after returning to that page is what takes some concentration for me.
