k-hawinkler Posted June 18, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted June 18, 2011 Lex, Â Nice image. I especially like the pastel colors and painterly background. What's an MDa? Â K-H.

Lex  I like it, sandro! Reminds me of my similar attemps (with an M6) and the same lens set-up. Much more difficult to obtain with a film M than today with a digital M!  K-H., an MDa should be a film M camera without the rangefinder, it only has the viewfinder (probably with the frames for 35 and 50 mm lenses). sandro Posted June 18, 2011 Author Share #4 Â Posted June 18, 2011 Thanks for your comments. I have taken dozens of these pictures, but as another forum member once wrote me: patience and keep trying. I like the pastel colours as well, probably the effent of the lens plus film. The Leica MDa is a camera withour viewfinder and without rangefinder. It was made for scientific purposes, and for use with Reprovit and with Visoflex, where no viewfinder or rangefinder are needed. Here's another one, with the same set-up. Lex

Lex  Hello sandro, another beautiful example!  Thanks for the correction. I mixed the MDa up with the M1. The M1 was great for macro work, because through its viewfinder, one could (roughly) point the camera to the desired object (by quickly centering it in the viewfinder). After this, and focusing on the screen of the Visoflex, the final composition could be done, again quickly, via the screen. Telyt2003
