atournas Posted June 14, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 14, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, Could you please be kind enough to help me out of this craze, namely, being driven nuts with monitoring possible fungus development on my 10-15-year-old Leica lenses? I mean, do you too go that far with piles of silica gel bags, humidity gauges and all that? Or do you calmly find that just dry environment, frequent ventilation and lots of use is more than enough? ayewing Posted June 14, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 14, 2011 Where do you live? Obviously if your local climate is hot and humid stringent precautions are entirely rational. I live in East Anglia, the driest part of UK so I take no special precautions and over the years have had no problems.

earleygallery Posted June 17, 2011 Share #4 Posted June 17, 2011 Not something I ever think about to be honest, and never had a problem, but I can understand if you live somewhere humid it might be an issue.
