bpalme Posted June 11, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 11, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Obviously business is good right now.. I'm just curious how many people they're trying to train and hire recently. With such high standards I'm sure it takes a long time to train people too. M. Valdemar Posted June 11, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 11, 2011 Leica was discovered trying to conceal the fact that they bought 17 highly trained chimpanzees which were raised for a secret mission in the Russian Space Program. This crack cadre of monkeys, who could effortlessly perform weightless repairs to complex orbiting equipment, are now used for precision lens collimating, quality control testing, and sensor alignment. They also attach the ir glass to the sensors. They are exempt from German wage laws and except for the rising cost of bananas and monkey-chow, are helping to hold the line on rising camera prices. Someone recently photographed some large cages with in-built LCD televisions being moved at night into the new Wetzlar factory.
larsv Posted June 11, 2011 Share #3 Posted June 11, 2011 That is why a limited number of people is available. A sufficient amount of people with cracked sensors applying though.

I've heard that they've actually trained a seal to test their new cameras!
