releazme Posted February 5, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is probably a long shot since I have already checked the apple and leica websites to check wether the D-lux3 is compatible with the iPod photo connector. It't doesn't seem like they are, but does anyone in here know whether they are compatible? Thanks
Advertisement Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Hi releazme, Take a look here D-Lux 3 and iPod photo connector . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
cornbarn Posted February 5, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 5, 2007 I haven't looked to see what it says on the Apple and Leica web sites but I've just tried it using a D-Lux 2 and was able to transfer both RAW and JPEG to my iPod using the photo connector. Seems to work fine. Tony
releazme Posted February 5, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted February 5, 2007 ok, thanks. Are you happy with it? I´m going to spend 6 months in India, and would like to store my photos without having to spend a lot of money on flash cards or bring a laptop....Would a photo connector be the thing for me? cornbarn Posted February 5, 2007 Share #4 Posted February 5, 2007 Until today I had never tried it so can't really give you any guidance. My approach has been to carry sufficient memory cards to get me through - prices are much lower than they used to be so this has been feasible. Sorry can't be of more help. Hans Roggen Posted February 6, 2007 Share #5 Posted February 6, 2007 I've tried and given up. It's just waaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow. And drains the batteries like there's no tomorrow. But it works... Hans

penwith@dsl.pipex.com Posted August 9, 2007 Share #7 Posted August 9, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I called Leica and confirmed the file transfer protocols were compatible with the iPod. Just received the connector - waiting for a chance to try it.
penwith@dsl.pipex.com Posted March 17, 2008 Share #8 Posted March 17, 2008 The D-Lux 3 downloaded to the video iPod, but could not do the same to the iPod touch. This is a big disappointment.
