abrewer Posted May 31, 2011 Share #6  Posted May 31, 2011 Very nice review  Image quality of the cam is fabulous  For straight out of the box eyepopping color (with vivid mode on) the jpgs are great  One ergonomic quibble I have: my thumb keeps landing on the control dial when I'm trying to press the shutter button and the display goes wild with warnings/prompts/messages etc that prevent me from seeing what I just took a picture of  Granted that's my problem with how I'm holding the thing but it's still taking some getting used to coming from a film M  Thanks for posting this, Elvis
Solar B Posted May 31, 2011 Share #7  Posted May 31, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well thats one glowing report ... now i have to say the X1 is far from perfect but it  definately does offer that unique Leica image ... X100-dream on.  Brian

abrewer Posted June 1, 2011 Share #9  Posted June 1, 2011 @abrewer get a thumbsup makes handleability spectacular  Thanks  That would definitely help  Been playing with it here: holding it like a real M and using the optical viewfinder is also a solution  The web between base of thumb and index kind of sits over the dial and doesn't activate anything
abrewer Posted June 1, 2011 Share #10  Posted June 1, 2011 Thanks That would definitely help  Been playing with it here: holding it like a real M and using the optical viewfinder is also a solution  The web between base of thumb and index kind of sits over the dial and doesn't activate anything  Also puts my thumb right on line to use the manual focus wheel too  I think this is probably what the designers had in mind
