Guest l34tz Posted May 30, 2011 Share #1 Posted May 30, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am wondering if I could use my 64GB iPod touch as a mobile Imagetank. Does anybody know if and how this is possible?

stuny Posted May 31, 2011 Share #4 Posted May 31, 2011 Based on using the iPad SD card reader adapter on the iPhone 4, and have it not work, eyefi might be the only possiblility. I suggest you call Apple.

I suggest you call Apple. apple will say there is no "native" application/ or dongle way to do this...... search this forum re: eyefi... there was a thread a few weeks ago that i suggested it was possible....also go to the eyefi support site they will telll what does or doesn't work
kdriceman Posted June 1, 2011 Share #6 Posted June 1, 2011 If you get the Apple iPad camera connection kit you can plug an SD card directly into the iPad and transfer the files to the iPad, store them, view them or delete them and later transfer them to your computer. You can view them on the iPad, although, my 1st generation iPad doesn't handle M9 DNG files well. I shoot DNG+JPEG so I can view the JPEGS on the iPad. I have tried and can't figure out how to do it with the iPod touch or my iPhone.
Guest l34tz Posted June 2, 2011 Share #9 Posted June 2, 2011 Oh, yeah. Sorry. I have tried and can't figure out how to do it with the iPod touch or my iPhone. Yepp, and that's a pity. I do not understand at all, why Apple supports the iPad as a Portable Storage Device, but not the iPod touch. I would really like to backup all my images to the iPod during a trip instead of carrying an additional PSD with me. Thank you all.
