NZDavid Posted May 26, 2011 Share #21 Â Posted May 26, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've got to agree it sounds like the salesperson did a poor job, but did you go back and ask him/her why you got the results you did? Â I just the mention the D-Lux 5 as a practical and very versatile travel camera that would make a good compact companion to your M9 to take to Brazil. Faster focus than the X1, f/2-3.3 24-90-equiv.lens. Overall the X1 will have better IQ, especially in DNG and at high ISOs, but IMO the D-Lux would still be worth considering. Douglasco Posted May 26, 2011 Share #22 Â Posted May 26, 2011 you only have to look on the internet to see how good the images are from the x1. So it should be easy to assume it was down to incorrect camera settings.
tc4237 Posted May 27, 2011 Share #23 Â Posted May 27, 2011 a person would usually be curious to preview the pictures on the lcd screen (under a shady area assuming u're under sunlight) ... doing a quick snap & go is imo, impulsive.. you did not get to play around/familiarize yourself with the camera and all its functions and u'd just decide based on pictures? Â when u do get to test the x100, please play around with it more and do return to get a better idea of how an x1 functions... Â whats the point in getting a camera with superb IQ when u can't even get the settings right?
