Then we'll see. I am sure that other people had some too. I'd like to see what Rolo and Vasken have done with their film... Advertisement Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Hi andybarton, Take a look here My Chester Bridge - IYCBTJT. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dotandcom Posted February 2, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 2, 2007 This is a lovely shot, Andy, with great light. The sight of pedestrians apparently walking past the bedroom windows of one of the houses is startling! You shouldn't have mentioned Rolo: I fell to wondering if he would advocate trying to lighten the pedestrians' figures a touch. Also, I tried cropping the picture, to concentrate on the bridge. It works well, but your sky is so good that it really just makes an alternative, not a better, picture. It looks to have been a gorgeous day you had In Chester. All the best, chris

robsteve Posted February 2, 2007 Share #9 Posted February 2, 2007 Actually, Chester, Nova Scotia. You should get Steve Unsworth and a couple of others together and come visit me this summer. There are direct flights, from London to Halifax, which is about 45 minutes from Chester. This was taken in Chester, a couple weeks ago. If it is nice tomorrow, I will go out with the DMR and see what I can get this weekend.

Robert, Manchester airport is a lot closer - from where I live it's about 30 minutes on a good day! All my holidays are more or less taken up this year - before you ask France :-), but if you ever come again to the UK again I'm sure Andy and myself would be more that happy to show you around what the North-West of England has to offer! stuny Posted February 3, 2007 Share #18 Posted February 3, 2007 andy - Didn't we see a very similar vertical image of this scene a few days ago? This too is lovely, but I prefer it punched up a bit as rolo has done, htouhg maybe he went just a bit too far.
elansprint72 Posted February 3, 2007 Share #19 Posted February 3, 2007 Direct flights from London to Halifax? Rubbish, unless you have a micro-light! By road, maybe 3 hours, but why would you want to go there? Yorkshire, for goodness sake! Pete.
stunsworth Posted February 3, 2007 Share #20 Posted February 3, 2007 Now now Pete, you shouldn't mock the afflicted - even if they live on the wrong side of the Pennines :-) Let's not forget Andy's a woosy southerner, but that hasn't stopped us taking him to our busom.
