stuny Posted February 2, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 2, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) From the southern tip of Manhattan there are lovely parks extending north quite a way up the Hudson River, and the parks service maintains beautiful natural seeming gardens throughout, supporting abundant wildlife (Central Park, by the way, is an excellent birding location with over 260 species showing up throughout the year). Many of the birds and squirrels have become used to people feeding them as we see here. You can see more on the New York ohoto gallery pages of our site. grantray Posted February 3, 2007 Share #3 Posted February 3, 2007 Stuart It looks like they're big fans of crisps and snacks !! I've seen those little b@stards in Madison Square not bothering to ask a pair of girls if they wanted to finish their lunch. Scurried down their torsos, on to their laps, and into the plastic plates. These aren't just furry cute squirrels, they're New York squirrels.

stuny Posted February 4, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted February 4, 2007 Robert, Grand & Peter - Thank you. Manfred - It's worth a trip to Brussels or Antwerp to get Pierre Marcolinin chocolates. The best alternative I know of is La Maison du Chocolat in Paris, New York (2 addresses!) and Tokyo, among others. Then our friend Marc from Paris gave Barbara some wonderful salted caramel chocolates that are to die for. I must ask him where he got them.
