pgk Posted May 2, 2011 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes, I know that these are available but I asked David at Leitax if he was interested in making one (to his usual high standards) and he is, so I thought that I'd post here and see what interest there would be in such an adapter (he might also be able to produce a Nikon to Leica M adapter). It would only really be of use for wides (and perhaps macro for viso users) but the original (22228) Leica adapter is now silly money, the Novoflex version is expensive and I don't trust many of the cheaper adapters having been supplied with poor quality adapters in the past. I've found Leitax products to be very well made and work just as expected. Rather than contact David direct can anyone interested post here so that I can forward the link to him if there's interest (I have nothing to do with Leitax other than being a customer!). [if Leica ever build an M with LiveView then the adapter might have many more uses........]
Advertisement Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Hi pgk, Take a look here Possible Leitax R to M adapter. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted May 2, 2011 Share #2 Posted May 2, 2011 Well, Camerquest has an excellent one, and so does Novoflex, so I doubt there is much of a market.
gwg Posted May 2, 2011 Share #3 Posted May 2, 2011 What would make it really interesting is a way to focus the lens - either by direct coupling (which I fear appears not possible?) or in the two-step process of the now discontinued Cameraquest adapter.
