Advertisement Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Hi allamande, Take a look here Medusa or "Bad Hair Day". I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
k-hawinkler Posted April 30, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted April 30, 2011 Hi Ece, Â Great composition, lighting and color. A tree with character! I like it. Where was this image taken? Â Best, K-H.
allamande Posted April 30, 2011 Author Share #3 Â Posted April 30, 2011 K.-H., Thank you! This is in Yosemite, along the Vernal Falls Trail. I couldn't believe how amazingly humongous the oak tree looked to me, and I was lucky that the sun came out just long enough for me to take this. Otherwise it was a gloomy day. Â I appreciate your comments very much. And glad that you liked this. Â Ece
k-hawinkler Posted April 30, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted April 30, 2011 Ece, Â Thanks. I was suspecting Yosemite but I wasn't sure. Yeah, in the mountains the weather and lighting can change from one second to the next. You were ready and got the shot! Â Best, K-H.
pauledell Posted April 30, 2011 Share #5 Â Posted April 30, 2011 Ece, Â A wonderful shot with the magic light striking the trees in the background and yet the lighting on the oak is also perfect with the tones. The sharpness and composition are excellent. I would imagine this could be terrific in b&w. Â Paul

Here is the BW version just for you: Â Â Since I've been doing this series in color, I decided to go with color in OP, but you are right, it works really well in BW, I think.
