geaibleu Posted April 27, 2011 Share #6 Posted April 27, 2011 I like them for they are Sanguinaria Canadensis, and referred to as bloodroot for the simple reason that when breaking either leaves or stem, their sap is a nice red colour. Also called red indian-paint. You seem to be ahead of us this time, climate wise, as I could hardly see a full bloom last Monday. Very well photographed indeed!
