Â It's currently the peak of the cherry blossom season, so hope these bring some enjoyment. The buzzword in the media at the moment is "jishuku", which is a kind of intentional reining in of oneself. In other words, because of the disaster up in the north, people feel it would be somewhat inappropriate to be wildly celebrating the opening up of the blossoms (and normally, they go beserk and get very drunk).
