geesbert Posted April 8, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 8, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a collapsible 5cm Summicron serial number 1167831 with very yellow glass, though all indices show that it couldn't be a thorium lens acording to this: Radioactive Summicron Images taken with this lens are much warmer, yellowisher than all my other lenses. what do you think? wizard Posted April 8, 2011 Share #2 Posted April 8, 2011 Quite often, the canada balm used at the time to cement lens elements into lens groups turns yellowish when becoming older.
