samwells Posted January 29, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 29, 2007 Wilfredo - that's nice, esp. the b&w...what makes it for me is the strange appearance of the white longer on the left. Thanx for showing. cheers: Sam
wilfredo Posted January 30, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted January 30, 2007 Thanks for commenting Sam. I realize this is not the type of photo that usually gets posted in this section but I think it makes a statement about urban living :-) This is not a side of Orange County California that gets a lot of exposure, most people in these parts go for the beautiful sunset shots. grantray Posted January 30, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 30, 2007 Thanks for commenting Sam. I realize this is not the type of photo that usually gets posted in this section Actually, I prefer the color version. Along with composition and the overall conceptual gestalt, the image has a strong Eggleston feel. And he happens to be one of my favorites. -grant
wilfredo Posted January 30, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted January 30, 2007 Grant, I am not familiar with the work of William Eggleston but thanks to you I did a google search and checked-out some of his work, and I can see why this shot would resonate with your experience of his work. I have a series I've been developing on my website I call Poetic Debri. These are shots of environmental beach polution from the Bronx to Honolulu. Please feel free to take a look, and thank you for your comments. Wilfredo+ Benitez-Rivera Photography
