Advertisement Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Hi Clifton D-LUX 5, Take a look here Catenary Lines. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
daveleo Posted March 27, 2011 Share #2 Posted March 27, 2011 A nice, "historical" type photo that will end up in a nostalgic book some day. Haven't seen overhead power lines in decades !
stuny Posted March 27, 2011 Share #3 Posted March 27, 2011 Clifton - Lovely. I've never seen this station. BTW: I hope you've seen the film, The Station Agent. If not I encourage you to rent it.
Clifton D-LUX 5 Posted March 27, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted March 27, 2011 Dave, Thank you! I would have thought Catenary lines were still in use in Mass. Then again I am thinking of the PRR running through and it may have been running on Diesel power through Mass? Stuart, Thank you! If you ever get to Upper Monclair the Station is located near the old Bellvue theatre. I never saw "The Station Agent" but have just added it to my watch list. Thank you for the tip. pauledell Posted March 27, 2011 Share #5 Posted March 27, 2011 Charlie, A fine shot with great composition, depth, tones and clarity. I like the way the tracks lead the viewers eyes to the back of the scene with the curve. Paul
