tuanvo1982 Posted March 21, 2011 Share #1 Posted March 21, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have bought a used one M8 without Passport and warranty papers. Do you think it is possible to get back or transfer to my name without the original papers? What I've are body, serial number, receipt. Thank you
Advertisement Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Hi tuanvo1982, Take a look here Leica Passport and warranty. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted March 21, 2011 Share #2 Posted March 21, 2011 Yes, passport warranty is transferable. You need the original passport however. But as the passport warranty on the M8 was two years, it is very doubtful that it is still valid. You can e-mail Leica and ask them to change the registration. It is by no means certain that the original owner did so, so you can go to the owners area on the Leica site and attempt to register the camera there. It may work.
