Don'tknowmuch Posted April 5, 2011 Share #41 Posted April 5, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just re-found this thread, and can only re-iterate how simple it is to wind newly processed, dry but not hard, film onto a DRY reel, emulsion side out (the film is not at all "damp" as read above somewhere so, yes, it goes onto a DRY plastic reel). This simply works. There is, therefore, no contact with either surface of the film with anything at all until the film has hardened, and once hard it stays flat. No curl with any film and it stays flat through storage. Jim.

Allen in Montreal Posted April 5, 2011 Share #42 Posted April 5, 2011 Thank you for the suggestion Jim, at this point I am willing to try anything! It drives me mad. I only have stainless or Jobo 2051 reels, so I will give one roll a try on my stainless reels this weekend. The Leica V35 enlarger with glass on both sides of the neg carrier makes the negs very "printable' but I also wet scan a few of the selects and this makes wet scanning pretty tough to do.
