JChance Posted March 17, 2011 Share #1 Posted March 17, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) The clock on my M8 keeps loosing time. I had noticed this a couple of times in the past (after changing the time for a new timezone, but it only needed to be corrected once). Now everyday when I head out to shoot in the morning the time is wrong. I have to correct it every day. This is a problem as I use two bodies so I need to keep the cameras synchronized, and need the right time and date for my archive. Has anyone else experienced this issue. Are there any solutions. My firmware is up to date. Thanks! James
Advertisement Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Hi JChance, Take a look here Issue with clock/time on M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted March 17, 2011 Share #2 Posted March 17, 2011 Yes- it has been reported a few times for the M8. In those cases if a firmware reload didn't work, it needed a hort trip to Solms.
JChance Posted March 17, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted March 17, 2011 Ouch... Not what I wanted to hear, but thanks. Do you know if they can do the fix in the US also? Its strange that I have been using the camera for almost 4 years and am only experiencing this issue now.
01af Posted March 17, 2011 Share #4 Posted March 17, 2011 It's strange that I have been using the camera for almost 4 years and am only experiencing this issue now. Have you updated the firmware recently? Have you changed your habits about handling the battery recently?
JChance Posted March 18, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted March 18, 2011 No, none of the above. Interestingly it hasn't done it today (time is correct). It seems to be totally random. Ah well... I'll have to live with it for now. Too busy to send the camera away.
