It is just duplicating weight and things with you (what to leave in the hotel ? or in the car?) Or take both with you?I'm getting old and try to travel light, so much as possible. Unless you travel with your wife or girl friend and when you working on pictures she likes to read news, listen to music, reading mails etc... robert  The ipad is ideal to consume digital content on the go. It also serves as my digital library for reference and textbooks. The MBA is superior if any serious work needs to be done. On recent business trips I always took the MBA 11" with top specs and ipad 1 with me. There is an AP out which allows to use the ipad as a second screen to the Mac, which can be very useful for work, though I have not tried it for photo PP yet. Depends on what one plans to do on a trip really, I like to be able to manipulate images in LR and PS and the MBA is very good for that, the SSD makes everything nifty. Frank Black Posted April 9, 2011 Share #25  Posted April 9, 2011 its a bit offtopic but my ipad2 shows a terrible backlight bleeding when watching dark scenes or websites i hate it to be early adaptor, if i send it back i have to wait 6 Weeks or so. My plan was to send it in before the warranty dates out in a year, because i have fear the new owner will bring it back to me after i sold it. Generally the ipad2 is not worth it if u switch from ipad1 i must say. For 700 Euro thescreen should be perfect   yes  i think you make sense... Â I've followed some threads on Mac forums about it, and certainly some are much worse off. I'll wait and see if it ever actually gets remedied and return if or when that happens. What I have read the bleed is caused by the glue having not having cured long enough and with some time the glue cures and the bleed goes away. I have had mine since launch day, plenty of time for the glue to cure in high 80 degree weather . I think if you turn the brightness all the way up and use a dark background, you may find there is bleed present....however I don't know too many people using that methodology often in practice. also different people hold different ideas about what constitutes a problem. Otoh, if you really have no bleeding in any circumstance, many macrumrs posters, myself included, would love to see a full brightness shot to see there is a 'cure'. Â I can make it an issue if I want to, but in practice it would seldom (but once in a while) be an issue. Probably not enough to go through a return process. Â In the 80 or whatever page post on macrumors, even the images posted by those saying they have no bleeding, show bleeding..just nowhere near as badly as the most vocal complainers. The xoom is basically really behind now on specs and apps IMO  You may want to take a peek at this, IMO it's pretty compelling - to tie back in with this thread... Think of the travel combo. http://filterstorm.com/pro/  Just bought that app.. Mini lightroom. The dev says is working on a Mac version possibly  Anyway, have a look at some videos..pretty good on the road option and can export 22mp images. The Samsung is only slightly thinner but it use Android and its made of plastic, so no wonder its lighter.
