Picked up my first Leica a few days ago. It's an M9 with 50mm f1.4 - beautiful combination. Took me back to me early days with a film camera. I mainly take sports photos for local newspapers, cricket, hockey, football, so will continue using my Nikon D3 with long lenses. But would like to use the Leica as an every day camera and hope to get some good sports portraits. Finally, my question is does anyone have recommendations for a good protective shoulder bag for beautiful camera. Many thanks.

Welcome to Leica, and welcome to the forum! And congratulations on your purchase. You'll find there are a few threads already on the best bags, but just to start a conversation, I'll tell you there are many who agree that Artisan and Artist's bags are great, and that the Oscar's One Day bag is a favorite of many rangefinder users. Oh God!

Don't get people started on bags...... you'll be sorry!

That's the first thing I thought when I read the post :D

A good many members of this board keep their cameras ready to shoot at all time. Some have learned to keep the lens ball-parked with exposure and focus without looking at the camera while it's strapped around their necks. Bags are counter productive to this kind of shooting !!

Enjoy your M9 learn to treasure the results and not the means.
