andybarton Posted March 11, 2011 Share #41 Â Posted March 11, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) That's a real shame. Technology like that (if adequately responsive, read: fast) can be a great solution to "adding" auto-focus to these stellar vintage Leica glasses (R- or M-line). Â How can you add autofocus to manually focussing lenses? At which distance donyou set your lens?

jsrockit Posted March 11, 2011 Share #42  Posted March 11, 2011 and by that you mean giving camera gear you could use yourself right  Yep. Once I got it in the mail, I used it for a few days before letting her use it. Plus, now she'll come out and photograph with me.
h00ligan Posted March 11, 2011 Share #43 Â Posted March 11, 2011 Absolutely. I definitely think that lending the gear for us to go shoot encourages involvement.. and it's nice to share a hobby.\\...\ Â ... ... Â ... Â Â she's just not keeping it if we break up = she has enough stuff I get for her that isn't photo related.. heh.
ezc203 Posted March 12, 2011 Share #44 Â Posted March 12, 2011 How can you add autofocus to manually focussing lenses? At which distance donyou set your lens? Â Andy - I think the technology insisted that by locking (setting it there and somehow preventing it from moving or just not moving it) the lens at infiniti, the camera focuses by moving the sensor. Now, I'm not very tech savvy, so I don't know how plausible this is, but it sounds like a nice idea...
phancj Posted March 12, 2011 Author Share #45 Â Posted March 12, 2011 I distinctly remember reading something along those lines. The sensor moves to AF.
