That's a real shame. Technology like that (if adequately responsive, read: fast) can be a great solution to "adding" auto-focus to these stellar vintage Leica glasses (R- or M-line).

 

How can you add autofocus to manually focussing lenses? At which distance donyou set your lens?

and by that you mean giving camera gear you could use yourself right :)

 

Yep. Once I got it in the mail, I used it for a few days before letting her use it. Plus, now she'll come out and photograph with me.

Absolutely. I definitely think that lending the gear for us to go shoot encourages involvement.. and it's nice to share a hobby.\\...\

Andy - I think the technology insisted that by locking (setting it there and somehow preventing it from moving or just not moving it) the lens at infiniti, the camera focuses by moving the sensor. Now, I'm not very tech savvy, so I don't know how plausible this is, but it sounds like a nice idea...
