leicamann Posted June 4, 2012 Share #22 Posted June 4, 2012 Beautiful set, #1 does it for me. M and the 21mm, my favorite combo!! You might want to look into the upcoming M Monochrome? and at risk of repeating myself, it is much better to digitally mark your images , embedded digital signature, rather than the copyright on the photo which can be easily cloned off..if you really want to protect the image from piracy. Thanks for sharing Cheers, JRM

Cheers, JRM I would love to have access to the M Monochrome, the images we have seen so far really jump off the screen. In the real world, however, that is a lot of $$$. JRM thank you for your concern, I do not have any idea how to embed a digital signature, and I forgot that the forum is not secure. Is it complicated? I am using LR3 as I have not had time to upgrade to LR4 yet, and I have not had time to research any glitches in the upgrade. kaethe

With embedded Digital signature its not complicated..here is one method How to Embed Copyright Info in Your Work – Lightroom, Photoshop, PSE Second would be through Photoshop using the " Filter" 'Digimarc"..... you will need to purchase the license Digimarc for Images Those are the best methods and even if the image copyright is altered, its embedded digitally and cannot be removed, so your protected. Hope that helps. JRM

pauledell Posted February 20, 2013 Share #27 Posted February 20, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Kaethe, This wonderful series is as close to some of my friend's large format work done at Yosemite in the snow I have seen. Magnificent composition, lovely tones and clarity. Paul

kaethe Posted February 21, 2013 Author Share #33 Posted February 21, 2013 Thank you to everyone for your kind comments. Yosemite in winter is a magical place, everywhere you look, there is a photograph to be taken. The concentration of photographers in the valley also makes it a very enjoyable experience, often folks share tips with each other, ask about gear, (there is an amazing amount of monstrous SLR gear being toted about by nearly everyone) but people are always intrigued with and have great respect for Leica. There are frequently class groups, following the instructors like puppies, setting up their tripods within inches of each other, but always so excited to be there. One more thing, if you go, I highly recommend the Sunday brunch at the Ahwahnee Hotel, a splurge, but worth it. kaethe

I have been there in early June after they opened the roads to the higher elevations and one could also travel through Yosemite to the East Sierra. Iduna Posted February 22, 2013 Share #38 Posted February 22, 2013 Kaethe, this is an outstanding set of images in composition and above all in B & W toning with its rich details. In this sense the third one is superb. And evenso the first picture is among my favourites because of the nice foreground. Please show more if possible.
