Noctilux 0.95?

Hi

People seems to be ordering and getting a f/1 Noct or f/1.1 CV to keep shooting, while they wait.

Some get a preasph lux or CV f/1.5, the asph lux are almost as difficult to get.

Everything depends on dealer - avoid ones with long waiting lists. I can recommend my dealer, Leica store in Warsaw.

In December last year I asked them about availability of Noct, got usual response "something between a year and two". I expressed my interest, but did not put an order.

Got a call just a few days later "Noct is on the way, are you still interested?"

Bought it just a day before Christmas, it was nice gift.

BTW In past months I saw 75 Cron, 24 Lux, WATE etc. on stock. Currently they have M9 Titanium on stock!

Their website: Leica Store - aparaty fotograficzne, średnioformatowe, obiektywy, lornetki i lunety Leica, voigtlander. - Strona główna

While we do have a waiting list (and have had one since the lens was introduced a few years ago) we do take regular deliveries. It is difficult to give an accurate estimate on the wait, but it is certainly not measured in years... More like a couple of months, based on past wait times.

David's point is on target.

Find a competent dealer who orders regularly and pays his bills, and your wishes will be fulfilled.

A dealer who orders only after a customer requests a product will be further back in the waiting list.

A dealer who pays his bills only occasionally will find his order slips further back in the queue, because when his turn comes up, the first thing Leica does is to see if he's current. If so, he gets the lens; if not, his order is shifted to the bottom of the pile.

The biggest dealers may get the most product, but they also have the longest waiting lists.

Find a reliable dealer and order, and you'll get it sooner than you expect, if later than you hope.

I've never dealt with David and have no sheep in this parade, but from what I can see, he's honest and trustworthy. You could do worse than place an order with him.

YES!

I sent an e-mail to most of the european Leica shops, and they had one in stock in Madrid. Lucky me!

On the way with UPS as we speak... I think I'll get it on friday.

/c

Enjoy it, it's a great lens!
