Pecole Posted March 3, 2011 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Elmar - or rather : f=9 cm 1:4 lenses for the Leica could be the theme of a specific collection. We had a total 43 9 cm Elmars, 8 Elmar-Cs and 3 Wollensak in our Fontenelle collection. The serial numbers for the Elmars included one unnumbered, 96833 and 135185 for the three "fats" we had; 284147 for the oldest "slim" one; then numbers in everything from 320xxx to 2090xxx. Our Elmar-C belonged to 2572xxx, 2574xxx, 2575xxx, 2576xxx and 2577xxx batches. We give a photo of a dozen of these lenses, including Elmars "fat", black and chrome, all chrome, chrome and vulcanite, screw- or bayonet-mount, collapsible, -C, and also a Wollensak.
