horosu Posted February 9, 2011 Share #2 Posted February 9, 2011 Aperture 3 makes also my computer hang very quickly, so this is another "bonus" EDIT: Now I see, KR, uses a 3.33 MHZ hex-processor, 8GB RAM machine........
stunsworth Posted February 9, 2011 Share #3 Posted February 9, 2011 Lightroom gives terrible colours? Perhaps he should sign up for a course with Rolo or Brett.
tobey bilek Posted February 9, 2011 Share #4 Posted February 9, 2011 Any editor can duplicate the color of any other . Adobe and Nikon all have presets you can record or you can change the defaults to the color you like.
Aliturk Posted February 9, 2011 Share #5 Posted February 9, 2011 I think he's shot himself in the foot, as he's advertised it from the App Store, anyone buying from there isn't going to help his "growing family"
sblitz Posted February 10, 2011 Share #6 Posted February 10, 2011 actually i think brjr is ken rockwell, sending you to his site to read his review and then click through to buy the product and he gets a click-through commission. would be nice if this forum was absent this anonymous effort for profit. but it is the world we live in. btw, i use a macbook pro 17 but do not use aperture 3. c1 pro 6, lr3, and ps are more than enough software to master and more than enough to create what i like. personally, i think c1 pro 6 is best -- and i am not affiliated with them nor do i have web site. SoarFM Posted February 18, 2011 Share #8 Posted February 18, 2011 Of course, some of us are already aware of this; including other benefits of Aperture 3 and its overall ease of use, in gettings things done quickly and in an enjoyable way, at the same time: Apple Aperture 3 Reading Mr. Rockwell's piece, I come away with the impression that he doesn't fully comprehend the general trend away from Photoshop in favor of parametric image editors such as Lightroom, Aperture, C1, etc... Photoshop is a long way from dead but its no longer a required stop for high quality image processing. Just my opinion.
