drums1977 Posted February 8, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, Some days ago I started a Kodak Film users (or lovers) community in Facebook. Of course, I have no relationship whatsoever with Kodak -apart from being a long-time user of their films-. The only aim of this is creating a platform of people that claim to use Kodak film on a regular basis. I know it is a romantic and naive approach, but maybe in 5 years, if they announce they will stop producing, for instance, TriX film (like they have done with our beloved Ektachrome), a big support group in the social networks might be able to show some resistence! Well, you are all invited to become friends. I will try and keep track of news about Kodak film to post on the wall... This is the group: Kodak Film Thanks and Greetings! J. Allen in Montreal Posted February 8, 2011 Share #3 Posted February 8, 2011 Kodak claims to have a full time social media "listener". Maybe someone should have done this 5 years ago and they would not have totally screwed up the line...... But then again, maybe not!

tobey bilek Posted February 9, 2011 Share #8 Posted February 9, 2011 Trust in that the ONLY thing that will sway Kodak is enough sales to show PROFIT. NOTHING else matters. The shareholders are not a charity.
400TX Posted February 16, 2011 Share #9 Posted February 16, 2011 If any Kodak B&W film survives, I would expect it to be Tri-X; it has alot of devotees. I'm certainly doing my part to keep it in production. Some B&W films are actually coming back from the dead, such as Agfa APX 100 and 400 in 35mm, according to the January 2011 issue of Black+White Photography magazine (page 81). B+W says the Agfa films will be available at www.silverprint.co.uk I also found APX 100 on Amazon for U.S. buyers: Amazon.com: Agfa Agfapan APX 100 - Black & white print film - 135 (35 mm) - ISO 100 - 36 exposures: Electronics
