PeterSchlicht Posted January 27, 2011 Share #1  Posted January 27, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica M9, Summilux-M 1.4/50 Asph  I guess this lens will never leave the M9. It constantly amazes me. In fact, I didn't use my Elmarit 2.8/28 Asph since last August ...  The shot was taken at Photokina 2010.  Cheers, Peter

pauledell Posted January 28, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted January 28, 2011 you should see the amount of crop... ;-) Â Â Yes, I assumed that. The cropped version held up amazingly well with the amount of detail and sharpness. I can see why you like that lens. Â Paul

PeterSchlicht Posted February 1, 2011 Author Share #6 Â Posted February 1, 2011 Peter -Â Terrific. At Photokina? Please describe. Â During the last two events (2008, 2010) or even before photokina hosted a predatory bird show with eagles, falcon, vultures etc. Visitors have the opportunity to test binoculars, telephoto lenses etc. from multiple manufacturers. Â I just passed by, raised my M9 with Summilux 50 Asph attached and shot the eagle. The photo shown is a pretty extreme crop from the original frame...
