Advertisement Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Hi Erik Gunst Lund, Take a look here Leica M8 Custom Grip. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
epand56 Posted January 26, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 26, 2011 Did you start from a regular Leica grip?
Erik Gunst Lund Posted January 26, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted January 26, 2011 Did you start from a regular Leica grip? Yes, I have just 'filled' the gap between the cylindrical grip and the body, nothing special. The ZM 28 2.8 has a 'Leica' style focus lever
Lightwrangler Posted January 26, 2011 Share #4 Posted January 26, 2011 I don't get the use of it. Is it just esthetics? Could you please explain. Thanks. Mike
Erik Gunst Lund Posted January 26, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted January 26, 2011 Mostly esthetic's but the inside is more like the Nikon Pro DSL grip, that I like a lot, I didn't like the 'hole' where the finger tips rests with the old design. Thanks for looking:)
Shootist Posted January 26, 2011 Share #6 Posted January 26, 2011 Doesn't that make taking off and putting back the base plate harder?
Erik Gunst Lund Posted January 26, 2011 Author Share #7 Posted January 26, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Doesn't that make taking off and putting back the base plate harder? It clears the body and strap mount without any problems. The Thumbs Up is enough for a good grip,,, Add a Thumbs Up and the M grip, and you are sure of a perfect grip on the M8.
