Ted Lemon Posted January 25, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 25, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have searched the achives and cannot find a recent thread on this subject. My usual lab, in central London, has stopped B&W film processing (use mainly Ilford Delta 100/400) so I need a new one. I am happy to post off film to non-London labs if worth it but would rather use one locally. I usually just get the negs and contact strip done then scan. Anybody got a recommedation? Thanks. Advertisement Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Hi Ted Lemon, Take a look here B&W Processing in London Required. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted January 25, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 25, 2011 Here's one I've heard of but not used Photofusion, London, UK | B&W Film Processing Seriously though, do it yourself, much easier and quicker than the time it will take you to walk to the post box. Ted Lemon Posted January 25, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted January 25, 2011 Thanks James I used to develop my own film but use M8 mainly and my M7 sometimes so feel I never get the quantity of film to justify dusting off the spiral from the depths of the shed! I may try Peak Imaging in Sheffield which I see recommended elsewhere. I live in North London so was hoping for somewhere locally. I have tried the normal Clerkenwell establishments (like Metro) but the quality was awful.
wattsy Posted January 25, 2011 Share #4 Posted January 25, 2011 Ilford do a mail order service. I've used them sporadically in the past and they seem fine. They also offer a "high res" scan service for about £8 extra which I keep meaning to try (I'm not expecting drum scan quality).
wattsy Posted January 25, 2011 Share #5 Posted January 25, 2011 Here's one I've heard of but not used Photofusion, London, UK | B&W Film Processing Very interesting. I'd heard of them but hadn't investigated. Sensible prices for a lot of things in addition to processing. Will give them a go.
Xmas Posted January 25, 2011 Share #6 Posted January 25, 2011 Hi If you need fast turn around use Ilford XP2 (or the Fiji equivalent) and normal color mini lab. You may get scratches and debris, but same with pro labs. Otherwise DIY Noel

normclarke Posted January 25, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 25, 2011 I have used Club 35 in Leinster Terrace for colour and always been more that satisfied. I see they do B&W, might be worth a try! Best, normclarke.
