Hello - I can unhesitatingly reccomend Sean Reid's Excellent Site - ReidReviews.com - It's about 30 Dollars (U.S.) for a subscription and he does (imho) a Commendable Job presenting wonderfully written reviews of a large swath of the 'modern' M mount lenses available. They're Great blends of subjective and objective information along with high resolution sample photographs and comparitive test images. Well worth the price of entry - heck - a Leica Lens Cap can cost more than $30!

Anyway - Sean has high praise for the Voigtlanders (in general) for Image Quality and for the terrific Price to Quality ratio when compared against similar Leica and Zeiss Glass.

I'm not a Leica M user yet, I use R glass on an EOS 20D, so can't offer any first hand inputs on the VC Glass. I do plan to give them a go myself, though.

Yep. I use a CV 35 f/2.5 as my only lens, unless you count a Jupiter 8 !!

Used to have a CV 25 f/4 and the pictures from that were brilliant.

Very nice indeed and highly recommended. Buy with confidence.

The 21 is wonderful on the M8.

I use it on the M9 too, but if you are planning to go full frame one day (M9 or future M) you need to be prepared to do some post-processing (Cornerfix, LR, PS, etc.) to fix the color shifts in the corners.

I used a 35/2.5 and only just sold it. It was sharper and smaller than my 35 Summicron IV. Great lens. Highly recommended. And a bargain as well.

Agreed, superb on an M8 and in my opinion the best value for money lens you can buy new for a Leica M although I do prefer it's rendering on film slightly more than on the M8 but that's just "my" personal opinion and not a slight in any way on the wonderful Skopar. :)
