I have a 1937 Leintz Vidom finder and a Russian Kiev turret finder. The Vidom looks nicer but the image you see is reversed. The turret finder has a great view but is quite tall. I prefer the turret.

The finders look bigger than they are because of the camera angle.

I have the Leica viewfinder which I use all the time here in (mostly) sunny southern California, but I'm curious about the others mentioned. Do any/all have a rubber ring to prevent scratching a user's eyeglasses? That was a very important feature for me...that and what's not to like about things milled out of solid brass. ;)

Hi Lambda,

hi,sbloo is much bigger,both a nice options.

what i like that the voigtlander´s imageframes are on each side halved.

so it´s easy to find the focuspoint in the center....

so ihave to brand the back of the hood, which i see thru the sbloo, the middle ,set my fokuspoint deeper and so i ´m able to find the focus very accurate with the sploo :)

the sploo is cult, nice made unique but expensive and bulky, but it fits perfekt imo cause my x1

is not so small-sized;)

...sorry for my bad english:rolleyes:

I use a round metal Voigtländer 35 mm viewfinder which costs around $160-170 (new) and is available both in black and silver chrome. It looks great but is smaller than Leica's 36 mm viewfinder and shows (at infinity) considerably more than what you then get on the image. But all in all it seems a good solution.

I too have the Voigtlander viewfinder and I'm frustrated with it. I don't like composing my photos with the LCD screen but the Voigtlander isn't accurate and I'm never quite sure what the camera is capturing during shooting and it is difficult for me to adjust too. For me, this frustration has me looking quite seriously at the Fuji X100.
