DavidStone Posted January 18, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 18, 2011 Just got a email about NIK Software coming out with a newer version of SEP V2. Had a look at some of there training videos and preordered it. Nik Software, Inc. | Silver Efex Pro 1 I bought the complete set just a couple of months ago. But if they think I'm going to slip them another hundred dollars each time they produce an update, they can think again. David
esquire53 Posted January 18, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 18, 2011 No decent upgrade price they offer for the new version Maybe if it is worth the changes and new features. I guess the experienced user (shootist... ) will give us the details soon from the latest version. Looks like there is no trial version ... out of the list * All-in-One Workflow * Intuitive History Browser (new) * Structure and Fine Structure (new) * Soft Contrast (new) * Vignettes & Burned Edges * Smart Filters * GPU Processing (new) * U Point® Technology * Dynamic Brightness (new) * Grain Engine * Natural Image Borders (new) * One-click Toning * Multi-image Support * Software Compatibility * Specially Developed Algorithms (new) * Amplify Blacks and Whites (new) * Visual Presets * Selective Color (new) * Film Emulation * Intuitive Interface * Advanced Education some of the new features sound nice, but are they any good? cheers Uwe
Shootist Posted January 19, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted January 19, 2011 Right, there is no trial version right now because the product has not shipped yet. I "PRE" ordered it. Once it does ship I would think they will offer a trial. On there site they state if you buy SEP 1 now they will give you SEP 2 for free. So I would think, but what do I know, that they would include buyers of the full package a few months back from the actual release.
