pauledell Posted January 15, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 15, 2011 Al, An excellent pair of macro shots with remarkable sharpness, fine colors and composition. Were these taken with your new son of a D-Lux 4? Paul
albert Posted January 15, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted January 15, 2011 Paul, Thanks Much. Yes, these were taken with a Panasonic GF1 combined with a Leica / Panasonic 45mm Macro Lens. It was below Zero F......I left my glasses at home.......set the live optical viewer to my 65 year old eyes..........and headed out to macro-land. The live optical viewer is the best thing that has happened to my focusing abilities for a very long time. The red-colored plant is Sumac.

kcnarf Posted January 17, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 17, 2011 Were those 2 shots taken with flash (if so, how?) and with or without tripod? How close? What other steps were taken? How does this compare with what could be done with d-lux 5 or Macro-Elmar on the 9?
allamande Posted January 17, 2011 Share #9 Posted January 17, 2011 These are poetic. Ece
albert Posted January 18, 2011 Author Share #10 Posted January 18, 2011 KCNARF: No flash, 6" away, no tripod, DL5 would do a great macro job, M9 is out of my pay grade but would be incredible. Thanks for the interest. Dave: I am having lots of fun.....thank you for understanding how I feel about my new components. Ece: Appreciate the notice and very kind words. Thank you very much.
