petert531 Posted January 20, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Friday night...time to change lighting again! There are a few other things from that night, but these show things a little bit differently. I'll retire the coloured gels soon :-) Sorry it's the same dress as Wednesday...I have to style the shoots as well! Peter
Advertisement Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Hi petert531, Take a look here Chantelle . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rob_x2004 Posted January 21, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 21, 2007 These have really come on Peter. Getting to be just a matter of taste whether you like or not, there doesnt appear too much one could pick holes in the images. I like them.
petert531 Posted January 21, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted January 21, 2007 Thanks. I hate to honestly say that I can't see the progress myself. I am just too close. But if I look back at older images I am surprised. What I did a year ago scares me. Peter
stuny Posted January 21, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 21, 2007 Peter - Remarkably, this looks like at least two different women, and MAYBE even three, which I think is the only lesson to be learned here since your technique is on target. What I mean by “lesson learned here” is that models need to be able to don different looks, pretty much independent of what they are wearing, and photographers must be able to make use of that ability to make their mind’s image concrete. What we see here is not only the different “looks” but that the model for my ideal is beautiful in 2 & 3, and considerably less so in 1, with what appears from the angle to be an overlong jaw, even though 2&3 say otherwise. That look in 1 can match want you want for that particular mind’s image. Did that blathering make sense?
petert531 Posted January 21, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted January 21, 2007 I think the blathering as you say was generally a compliment LOL. I do try and transform my models into totally different beings for each look...this is my challenge to myself. As for image #1...probably very witch like. Just fooling around, I am not that happy with it, but it was the last look. I usually lose steam after look #2 out of 4 or 5 just because I order it in the order I am interested in. Did that make sense? Peter
abrewer Posted January 21, 2007 Share #6 Posted January 21, 2007 I'm far from the most critical and technically-astute person on this Forum, but these images look fabulous to me. You should be proud of them in my opinion. Thanks for showing the way for the pikers like myself. Allan
