Guest kissov Posted December 16, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just purchased a good used 90mm Elmarit for my M9. It came without a case. Is it possible to purchase a "Leica" case for this lens? if not are there any suggestions for an aftermarket case? Thank you. R Thorpe

likalar Posted December 16, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 16, 2010 I have a Zing (by Tiffen) neoprene (wetsuit material) soft case for my 90 that is worn on the belt. The closure is velcro (can be noisy), but the lens stays handy enough. The case is aftermarket, from a camera store. http://www.tiffen.com/products.html?tablename=zing Larry

I have the leica neoprene camera bag and I like it but a pity that is not water resistant.

Yes, it seems to resist water, but it's not watertight, by any means, as the closure is just a simple flap with velcro fastener. I would trust it to keep the lens dry in moderate rain, though. likalar Posted December 17, 2010 Share #5 Posted December 17, 2010 Here's the one I have, which works well for the 90. I'm surprised to see it's still in production after 9-10 years.
