leica007 Posted December 14, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted December 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have got a new laptop (Dell XPS 15) with a 1080p FHD screen and have installed Photoshop CS5. Â But the problem is that the PS CS5 menu toolbar, i.e. the fonts on the menu, looks very small. Is there a way to increase the menu size, while maintaining the 1080p resolution? Â Can the forum members who have bigger external monitors tell me how they have configured their monitors to get a bigger menu toolbar? [i am guessing that similar steps need to be followed in my case]. Thanks.

Shootist Posted December 17, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted December 17, 2010 If you are running Windows 7, or really any other windows OS, you can increase the size of the fonts, globally, in some part of the display properties. In XP it was easily found but in Win 7 you have to jump through some hoops to get to it. Â Just for the record Microsoft has there head UP THERE A$$ in regard to both Vista and Win 7. Â I've just started using Win 7 on my main PC and it is one PITA to change anything.
wlaidlaw Posted December 20, 2010 Share #3 Â Posted December 20, 2010 This is also a problem in Mac. The PS icons and to a lesser extent, the fonts for menu's are too small if you are using a big high res screen. One might have hoped that there would be something in Universal Access to increase minimum font sizes for menus and to upscale icons but it seems not. The icons for example are 26 x 26 pixels big and you can't change them. On a fine res screen, you almost need a magnifying glass to see them, particularly as with a big screen, you are not sitting to close. There is some correspondence on this on the Adobe Forums but no answers I am afraid. Â Wilson

In my opinion Windows 7 is a giant leap backward...even something as basic as email?
