Joachim123 Posted December 13, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 13, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am new at using a polarizing filter on any lenses. I recently purchased a Leica Series VII polarizing filter for my 28mm 2.8 R lens. Are there any exposure compensating factors that I need to consider when using the metering system? jaapv Posted December 13, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 13, 2010 No you don't need a compensation when using TTL metering. -there has been a long and heated discussion on the digitalforums on the subject.

jaapv Posted December 14, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 14, 2010 Or any Leica M before the M5/CL/M6 etc. The compensation should be between 2 and 3 EV, depending on the amount of polarized effect in that case.
