ChiILX1 Posted December 11, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted December 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm unable to find a single picture of this combination together. Can someone post the flash on the camera? Thanks!
Advertisement Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Hi ChiILX1, Take a look here X1 & 24D. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
DwF Posted December 11, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted December 11, 2010 I can offer these up to give you an idea of balance if that is what you are after. If you send me an SF 24D I will happily send you this SF20 flash pictured and pics of my new 24D mounted! Â David photos courtesy of LX5
DwF Posted December 11, 2010 Share #3 Â Posted December 11, 2010 My pleasure. I use the flash off-camera mostly with the Nikon SC17 cable if I bring the flash out to shoot. It works nicely.
tobey bilek Posted December 11, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted December 11, 2010 Notice he said off camera. Use on camera for fill flash.
ChiILX1 Posted December 11, 2010 Author Share #5 Â Posted December 11, 2010 So it does fire on camera? I notice it's much less expensive than the 24d. What's the difference?
gar1013 Posted December 12, 2010 Share #6 Â Posted December 12, 2010 Anyone got photos of the SF58 on the X1?
DwF Posted December 12, 2010 Share #7 Â Posted December 12, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) So it does fire on camera? I notice it's much less expensive than the 24d. What's the difference? Â The SF20 works nicely on the X1 (or M8 for that matter) but only in M mode; the SF-24 allows for TTL. So for my purposes I simply decide what I am looking for as far as exposure (or fill flash application) and dial the power down which is easy to do (to even about 5 feet). I like to bounce flash so I use the SC17 and take the flash off-camera. Â I haven't checked prices on the SF-24 for some time now but the SF-20 goes for reasonable prices and works really well. Keep in mind that the flash takes a special Lithium cell but it lasts for a long time and is not hard to find. Â David
