sblutter Posted December 10, 2010 Share #5 Posted December 10, 2010 I'm very happy with B&W from the Epson 3880 - and you can go to 17 x 22 If you want museum quality and don't want to buy a printer, John Cone is a master at B&W: Cone Editions Press - Piezography Editions
Marquinius Posted December 12, 2010 Share #6 Posted December 12, 2010 the short of it: at home buy a good printer (I use an R2400 Epson) buy good paper (including small sizes for testing) read some books and some posts on the forum and see how you progress, really! jjonsalt Posted December 14, 2010 Share #7 Posted December 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) HP Photosmart 7960, no kidding. I first bought one some years ago (it was known as "that B&W printer"). About 3 years ago a lighting strike damaged it beyond repair. I panicked at first but was able to find a "like new" one for sale. I have a Canon PRO 9000 (I don't care for pigmented ink) that does everything I need doing...except B&W. Use HP 57, 58 and 59 ink cartridges. If interested I hope you can find one.
